In a previous life I used to peddle sports memorabilia and one of the more interesting items I uncovered was a collection of South American press photographs from the 1920's and 1930's.
Sadly I've sold most of those on but one or two still remain including the image shown above.
The photo is dated on the back as 23rd March 1930 and it appears to be a combined team, consisting of players from both Huracan and Boca Juniors.
The description reads,
'El Combinado de Huracan y Boca Juniors que ayer jugo frente al team reforzado de Bella Vista. resultando un empate de 3 goals.
Can anyone translate this effectively - I could always stick it into an online translator but given my previous success with those it will suggest something like 'can you tell me the way to the library'.
